Please join the HIGICC webinar presented by NOAA staff. Friday September 19th at 10AM HST
This presentation will provide an overview of NOAA’s Coastal Change Analysis Program (C-CAP) land cover data products, the methods used to develop this data, and the current status of C-CAP's land cover update efforts for the state of Hawaii
Nationally standardized land cover and land cover change information for the coastal U.S., including Hawaii, are available from NOAA's Digital Coast website. These data products provide an inventory of intertidal areas, wetlands, and adjacent uplands. Most of the map products are updated every five years. High resolution land cover data are also available for selected areas, which is particularly helpful for smaller, enclosed geographies such as the Pacific Islands. This presentation will provide an overview of NOAA’s Coastal Change Analysis Program (C-CAP) land cover data products, the methods used to develop this data, and the current status of C-CAP's land cover update efforts for the state of Hawaii. Additionally, some of the various tools and technical assistance available for end users will be discussed.
