Please see attached a funded MS Graduate Assistant position in the McGuigan lab at the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management at CTAHR, UHM to start August 24, 2026. This position will support research on climate, pest dynamics, agroforestry, and the nutritional and metabolomic characteristics of culturally and economically important food tree crops in Hawaiʻi and the U.S.-Affiliated Pacific Islands.
The student will have the opportunity to work across a collaborative network that may include the USDA Forest Service, USDA Agricultural Research Service, The Periodic Table of Food Initiative (PTFI), Pacific Drought Knowledge Exchange, and partners across Pacific Island agroecosystems.
The assistantship is 0.5 FTE, 11-months, beginning August 24, 2026 or earlier, and is open to incoming, accepted, and prospective MS students.
